Has it been three months already?!

So it has been three months since my last post already. One of these days I will get to posting at least once a month. Cole is now walking everywhere! He has been walking for about a month now. He looks so cute and wobbly, but has a total attitude when he walks. Since he is walking and doesn't leave ANYTHING alone, we decided not to put our tree up this year! :( So sad but he tries to knock my parents down when we visit so I just didn't want to put up with that. Ty is oh-so-very smart. Some of the things he says sound like a person much older then his 3 year old self. It is pretty funny though. He is getting so tall! I will post some pictures of our trip to AZ for Thanksgiving in a couple of days :) We are ready for our Christmas breaks to start!!!

Summertime!!

Ok so it's been awhile since I updated so i thought it would be time to do so. Although I do look.... umm not so good in the picture I put it up because my little Cole looks so cute!!! One weekend in July we all decided to go up to Eagar and visit Jake's parents and do some fishing! It was so fun and so relaxing. Not to mention about 20 degrees cooler than it was in El Paso at the time. Ty had fun blowing all the dandelions up in Eagar! There are so many!

A visit with Mami and Papi

My great-grandparents are still living on my dad's side and they hadn't met the boys yet, so we decided to go visit them a couple of weeks ago. (they are my abuelita's parents) Papi just turned 99 in February, wow he's old :) He broke his hip and had surgery a few months back and hadn't been doing too well, but he is doing ok now. Mami is 89 and is putting along pretty good! They got to meet their great-great- grandsons, it was nice! Well Papi didn't since he was asleep but Mami did and she enjoyed holding Cole!
I Love this picture of Ty giving her a kiss. It is so sweet and will be nice to have and show him when he is older!Cole sat in her lap like this for an hour! He was just so happy to have someone to hold him constantly! Probably not one of the greatest pictures since Papi looks like he is dead... but it's the only one we could get with the kids since he was asleep the whole time. My dad, Mami, Cole and I. Ty turned 3!!!!

I am almost a month late with this, but I have been busy with school and homework so oh well. We had a party for Ty's 3rd birthday on the 24th of April since his birthday fell on a Sunday this year (April 25th). Ty had a bunch of friends and family at his party and it was very fun! Marcel had just gotten home from his mission that Thursday (22nd of April) so it was sort of a welcome home for him too! German and Rebeca were in town and came, my abuelito and abuelita came, my cousins Michelle and Julie and their kids. My Aunt Mary, Mindy, a girl I went to high school came with her two little girls and Sis. Sandoval and Christian came. Christian is Ty's best friend at church in nursery. As soon as we get to church he asks where he is :) My parents bought him a cake from I think it was Costco and it was DELICIOUS! The cake weighed 9 pounds with 2 pounds of chocolate frosting!! My parents made brisket, potato salad, nachos and all other sorts of delicious food for the party!! Ty had fun and enjoyed it a lot, especially since Drew was in town too! I can't believe I have a 3 year old but we are so LUCKY and BLESSED to have him in our lives. He is WILD and CRAZY... but I wouldn't want him any other way. He is the funniest and sweetest little boy ever!! WE LOVE YOU TY!!!

Easter

We had a good Easter. On Friday we drove down to Lordsburg to spend some time with German and Rebeca. On Saturday morning they had a big Easter egg hunt at a park there so we went... only they must have started early because by the time we got there, there weren't anymore eggs! Luckily while Ty and Drew were walking around a girl noticed they didn't have any eggs and gave them two each. We came back to El Paso Saturday evening after those two fun days in Lordsburg!! The boys loved their Easter baskets and all the candy in them! It was also Drew's birthday so during the break in conference he opened his presents and after conference was over we ate cake. My mom made a delicious Easter meal of brisket potato salad and all other sorts of great food. My abuelita and abuelito came over so it was nice spending the day with them too! My mom and I did a little photo shoot with the boys in their Easter clothes. It was a greatday!

He is a little overweight!

Cole had his 2 month check-up yesterday and his doctor told me that he is too fat!! She asked how often he nurses and I said every couple of hours, and she said he should be able to go 3 or 4 hours between feedings now. Well wouldn't that be nice, but he doesn't go that long all the time. Although lately he has been doing better at night and gets up only once or twice! All he does is nurse, no formula, and I am not about to start refusing to feed him cause he is a tad chubby. Doesn't she know that I am feeding and raising future football players here! She told me that we will just keep an eye on it LOL!! I think it's funny,even babies are supposed to be thin now too?!I LOVE my chubby little guy and all his folds and rolls!

His 2 month stats:

weight: 15 lbs 7 oz

length: 23 1/2 inches

and they didn't give me his head measurement so I don't have that, sad! And I had to ask for his weight and length! I like when they just give it all to you!!!

My poor little guy got his shots yesterday too and boy is he grumpy!! His poor little thunder thighs hurt him. I feel so bad for the little guy cause his cry is oh so SAD!! And to top it off Ty isn't feeling too hot either. He keeps telling me "Mom I'm sick" He is always a lot more mellow when he is sick, and cuddly, so at least I can cuddle and comfort him!!

First bath (posted a little late)

Cole really enjoyed his bath except at first when he was exposed to the cold! But once he was in the water he liked it. He just sat there staring at everything. Luckily I learned with Ty to keep them covered the whole time so that you don't get a little shower of your own :) It took a little long for his umbilical cord to fall off so he was a little older for his first full bath. He is starting to really enjoy his baths and only cries if he gets super cold! And of course big brother Ty LOVES to help with the baths. Not so sure it's much help when more water ends up on the floor than actually on Cole, but I like to have him help out. The only thing I hate about his bath tub is that he falls to one side all the time and makes it hard to clean all his rolls and creases!

Yay for school

I started school a couple of weeks ago and it is wonderful! I had been thinking of going back but didn't know when I would get the chance to, so I went to a local school here Western Technical College, to check it out and decided to go!! A family in our ward owns the school so I know it will be great! We are in our third week and have our second exam coming up already! I am doing a Health Information Technology program. It is 14 months and after the program I will be able to do medical billing and coding, so I am pretty excited!My class is from 6 to 10PM Mon. thru Thurs. It is a little different because Jake gets home from work and I leave to school. He watches the boys at night. I have been pumping so he has milk for Cole because I did not want to put him on any formula. So far everything has been great!! I am so thankful for the opportunity to go back to school!!

Ty loves for me to take pictures of him and Cole. He tells me "mom I wanna hold it baby brother" It is the cutest thing!!

Cole is 7 weeks old today! I can't believe how time has flown!! He is getting so big and changes everyday. He loves to hold his head up and stare at everything around him. He is also becoming more aware of everything and will stare at you and follow you when you move around. I would say I nurse him close to every one or two hours throughout the day. So needless to say he eats ALOT! I have weighed him myself and according to that he is about 15 pounds already! He has doubled his weight since he was born and I can't believe it! He is a very healthy little guy!! He is such a great baby and Ty loves helping me with him which is GREAT!!

I am chubby and happy!!
